That I don't really want to write about?
AT ALL?
She tells a lighthearted story that includes her beloved husband, her awesome wedding.
And about 9000 pink cupcakes.
Somehow she manages to weave in a bit about COVID-19.
Which, of course, we cant ignore even if we wanted to.
She manages to do all of this with humor, style, grace, and sensitivity.
This is what Id like to do. Write about some lighter things, some cheery distractions to keep us sane.
While still being respectful of the fact that lives are being lost, people are sick. People are worried about money, food. Everything.
I am not qualified to give you financial advice.
I not even qualified to give you psychology/psychiatry advice. Doesn't mean I don't put my two cents in once in a while. Haha.
My job in this crisis, and heck, for my time on this planet, is to share and care about the small and beautiful things that keep us sane, give us peace, give us hope.
To suggest beautiful sharing and pastimes that heal.
Share stories.
Listen to yours.
In fact.
I know that this has hardly begun. But I know enough about my own head that my very first concern was putting together activities that would help keep me on track.
Making music.
Making art.
New ways of exercise.
New ways of connection with the humans I love most.
KD Puppy snuggles.
So that's my plan.
Stay tuned if you're in for that sort of thing.
We've got a heck of a journey ahead of us.
Sending love to you all, today and every day.
